Managing an entire organization effectively is hard, especially as a founder or executive at a startup or growth-stage company. Everything is on fire all the time. Your organization needs you to provide clear guidance and leadership. You need to be true to yourself in the process. Your customers want a stable product and new features. Your investors want results.

Whether it’s conflicts within your team, or responding to a crisis, or an investor that’s changing the terms, or that feeling of not knowing where to turn for moral and emotional support, the journey is exhausting. Most of the time it doesn’t feel like you can afford to pause, reflect, and take a look around to assess where you are. It can also seem like you just have nobody in your corner.

We’ve been where you are. We’ve experienced the isolation, the loneliness, the highs and lows. We know how it feels to have nobody in your corner. Our approach is to acknowledge that “we‘re here now,” as our starting point; it only matters what we do and how we are, from this point onward.

Coaching

We work one-on-one with leaders to help improve their personal and professional skills to lead and manage high-performing teams. We believe that the key to building a great organization is to, first and foremost, look at yourself. It’s been said that you can’t take your organization further than you have taken yourself.

We bring experience in both building entire organizations and specific leadership roles. We can empathize with either and benefit our clients by offering multiple perspectives to consider.

Coaching supports leaders and managers by:

  • Helping them identify their challenges and growth opportunities through feedback from their peers.
  • Providing feedback and guidance to work through challenges that exist within the business or team.
  • Helping to identify gaps in how a leader is showing up versus how they want or need to be.

Team Upskilling

Working with your full leadership team, we help you and them build a healthy and collaborative group through facilitated workshops and coaching. Leadership teams that function well together create environments where teams can deliver.

In team settings, we facilitate workshops, meetings, and individual coaching sessions, all with the ultimate goal of building a cohesive team where folks trust each other, where everyone communicates openly, and where each member recognizes the group as their first team.

We support leadership teams by:

  • Helping them create structures for productive meetings, intentional decision making, and meaningful feedback.
  • Working with individual leaders one-on-one to support each in their own personal growth, all with a better team in mind.
  • Facilitating offsites to create an atmosphere of open and productive conversation and participation.

Strategy Development

As a company grows, it’s important that clarity exists around where things are going. Direction and clear objectives, a whole operating system is needed to help organizations scale and deliver on the business’s promises.

We work with you or your leadership team to refine a clear direction and objectives for your company. Our approach is simple, doesn’t require adopting complex frameworks, and helps growing teams work towards a shared goal.

  • We work across the organization to gather a broad set of perspectives on the business’s challenges and opportunities.
  • Together with the leadership team, we distill the results down into a strategy that’s concise and actionable.

Management School

Coming in 2025… An open program for middle managers and senior leaders to offer a low-barrier training program for helping them in their personal and professional growth in a workshop and group session format.

Improving Relationships

Founder and team dysfunctions are a liability to any business, so we help teams navigate and resolve these conflicts. We help smaller groups unpack their tensions while offering them tools, frameworks, and support to overcome whatever’s in their way.

We create spaces of inquiry and reflection, where participants can feel safe to openly talk about their individual and joint issues as a group. We help the group identify the areas of conflict and tension and navigate their way towards resolving them. Frameworks are a superpower

Speaking and Workshops

We believe in sharing what we have learned so others can benefit from our experience and struggles. That’s why we wrote the book. At all kinds of events, we offer our perspectives and actionable advice to leaders and managers of companies of all sizes.

We have spoken at many leadership, product, and developer conferences, giving opening keynotes and talks that are famously practical and instantly applicable. We also give talks at company events and run workshops around leadership topics like feedback, decision-making, communication, and more. We offer speed coaching and individual sessions at public and private events to offer coaching opportunities to folks at all levels.
